Here at Chepachet Farms, we place approximately
200 sap taps throughout rural Glocester. During late February through March,
depending on Mother Nature and weather conditions, we can gather up to 500
gallons of sap daily. This sap boils down to 12 gallons of maple syrup, which is
used and sold at our farm.
The "Sugar House" is open to the public with free samples on days we
are boiling syrup. Please call ahead for times.

The majority of the syrup we produce is Grade A Medium Amber. It has a rich maple flavor and is great on pancakes, French toast, ice cream and oatmeal. This grade is also used for making maple cream and sugar. We sell only Grade A Medium Amber on-line. Other grades are available for purchase at our farm. |

| We use our Grade A Dark and Grade B syrups in our Maple Vinaigrette dressing. These syrups are produced near the end of our four to six week season. As the season progresses, the syrup darkens and the flavor intensifies….perfect for our dressing! It can be used in salads, as a marinade or on vegetables. Try it on a salad with mixed greens, feta or gorgonzola cheese and topped off with candied or caramelized pecans or walnuts. It is a delicious marinade for chicken, beef, pork and fish. Try it on grilled mushrooms, peppers, asparagus, and zucchini just to name a few! |
